Reviews from our beloved golfers
A very nice job; a gem where everything breathes golf! No commercial affair but really like golf should be. Practice facilities are better; driving range is short (7 iron is sufficient to reach the end (rock)). Putting Green is located on other side and you have to walk a bit. The clubhouse is dated but breathes golf; great. Very friendly and helpful people! The track is really great; parkland course. Well maintained and super greens. Are you nearby? Play this track i.p.v. commercial neighbor.

Delicious old job in 1924, which is undoubtedly built by Englishmen. The track winds through a gently rolling terrain with many trees. Beautiful little greens with treacherous slopes. The fairways were not very good cut, so it was difficult to find your ball between the white daisies. The clubhouse is attractive, but the ministry clearly understaffed. Long waiting times for a drink, but after a nice round of golf might not be so bad.

A golf club with history, that makes you and see you on all sides, an old and stately clubhouse architecture that refers to rich years `20. I like that.
Originally an English cricket club from 19th century, but evolved into a golf course. By expanding and claims of the wonderful but hectic city of Lisbon, the club has moved in the last century and has grown over time from 9 to 18 holes.
The driving range is not to reach very long, with a good turn your ball pops against the cliff face at the end of the runway, beautiful challenge that wall. Putting Green is high quality carpet, beautiful grass, a little slow. For example, all greens on this course which apparently is maintained with love. The hole`s are long and wide, great height, the job has its own water, but not so many water hazards, strategically located beautiful tree parties, it feels like a lush park, the occasional bunker. A place where you can easily dream away. I was playing in the late afternoon in September, long shadows across lichtglooiiende fairways and almost on my own. Delightful experience.
Reasonable price, 37 euros for 9 holes, if you happen to be a member of another golf club in Portugal green fees only 20 euros because they can still learn from the Netherlands, top quality at an accessible price.

This is the pearl of the jobs around Lisbon, especially if you like authentic.
A very old clubhouse from 1927 with a fantastic 18 hole course.
It's as if you are playing in Thailand through ancient forests.
I come here for 40 years with groups and if we analyze the tracks, we played around Lisbon, it is always invariably the first place is a big plus, you can almost only play on this track The clubhouse is something very special!
so do not skip this job on, because in addition to a very acceptable green fee a pleasure and where you keep coming back

ThisThis is a real "hidden gem" in the hills north of Lisbon (2 km outside Belas). 18 hole par 69 played from the back tees. The greens were very tight and fast, the fairways of the good quality. The course is located between the hills and a few pieces of pretty hilly. Beautiful elevated tee boxes make every exit interesting.
Very nice par 3 holes. You hardly sound on the track of vehicles or the like.
Played here on Sunday afternoon and it was nice and quiet on the track.
On a subsequent visit to Lisbon I will play here again.

This club has everything to be called a classic. It was founded in 1922 and actually dates back to 1873 because he was part of the former England cricket club in Lisbon.
The course of this association has found a wonderful new environment since 1964 Serra da Carregueira about 20 km from Lisbon.
Originally, the club had a golf course in the city of Lisbon itself. The current course, designed by Hawtree & Sons had originally 9 holes and in a few steps in 1992 to reach its current size of 18 holes.
It is a relatively short course of 5261 meters par 69. It is striking how one has succeeded in the pretty residential area of creating such a haven of peace.
Developers have, as so often elsewhere played well, no role in the development of this job.
Unlike the classic yet modest clubhouse, some buildings for the equipment and a hideaway with a terrace for some refreshments at hole 11, there is no building at around this track.
All available space is utilized for optimal fairways and greens. Even a driving range is lacking at this track. For those who really just want the muscles loosen a modest exit berth available and near the teebox for hole 1 is an (even) documents putting green.

On hole 1, the track passes right away off a tough business card. It is a par 3 of 169 meters which is repelled from an elevated tee about 10 meters above the surface of the green.
The green is completely surrounded by bunkers.
Hole 3 is somewhat similar: Another elevated tee, a green surrounded by barriers which this time also some water comes into play.
Because of the lush vegetation here and a large part of the year the wildflowers, this is called the most beautiful hole.
To a large extent, the track lengthwise in a sort of valley through which the fairways have something vergevends and ensure that the ball often to the middle bounced.
For holes 14/16 m makes the job more interesting trip to the other side of the road from Lisbon to Sabugo.
Especially hole 16 is very interesting and especially surprising: At the end of the fairway on this par 5 is found suddenly a fairly steep descent over rough terrain to the green. Local knowledge here is actually essential.
After a round is a wonderful place in the clubhouse where the tradition itself shows emphatically.
So the stairwell where one always depends on coming to restaurant and terrace full of proud lists of champions from earlier years.

Everything is taken care of decent and good without being flashy expensive or showy.
